One sunny day on the island of ……… a huge downpour started. This caused a flight delay at the International airport of ………. Stacey was supposed to be coming in today but her flight will be delayed. Stacey was on a mission but she didn’t know it yet. Her mission was to find her long lost brother on this island who only had contact with her godmother. This godmother raised this child because he was lost on the island at a very young age and was separated from her parents. Stacey was not yet born but she will soon meet her long lost brother ….. she just doesn’t know it yet. She is completely clueless. She thinks shes going on a springbreak trip but her godmother now thinks that it is time for them to meet. When Stacey finally gets to the island she goes directly to the hotel where, her and her friends reserved a suite. She is extremetly stressed out and tired and this will finally be a time where she can relax and have fun. This is what she thinks. That is actually not the reality of the situation. The first thing the girls do is unpack all of there belongings into the drawers and closets. They then go down to get something to eat. They first start out by trying tropical drinks. They are all settled, and they go to the pool. They have fun and romp around the island. They do everything that you can imaging they visit so many places in there first couple hours and there is so much exploring to do in the Cayman Islands. In one of the places she went, a local shell shop, she meets a very interesting person, that seems to have some connection to her and they seem to know Stacey somehow but no one else. They didn’t know her to the extent of knowing her name but they knew enough. Essentially why she was here on the island which Stacey didn’t completely know herself. This lady’s name was Calypso. She was a magical person only in the way that she knew so much about Stacey. Later on in the day Stacey gets a phone call from her mom and dad back in Boston, and they have some very exciting news to share with her. It is news that is exciting for them but will be very shocking to Stacey. This is something that they have been waiting 19 years to divulge. They wanted to tell her about her older brother Samuel that has been found he was left on the island at the age of two with the now older lady Calypso. They have just recently found out that Sammy is alive and has been living on the island this whole time he has had no contact with the people outside of the island, but Calp does. She wasn’t able to return the child because she is unable to leave the island. The parents are also not able to come back on the island, because of a terrible occurrence some 20 years ago. The only family member allowed back on the island is Stacey, because no one knows she has any connections or blood lines to the Hansen family. The secret mission of the family is to bring Samuel back to Boston. Staceys mom and dad probably should have told her about this secret mission before she left the state.but they decided to wait because they were scared of Staceys reaction and if she was already there then there is nothing she can really do about it. She will have to bring him home. The phone call is just telling Stacey about her long lost brother Samuel, but she has to go to the magical lady calypso to actually find out how to get him safely off of the island. This was a private phone call and Stacey wasn’t sure whether she should tell her friends or not. She didn’t want to rruin there spring break. But Stacey’s friends actually knew what was going on and they came to the island to support her. They all let Stacey know that they were here for her and anything that she needed they were there to help her. The next day they all went back to Calypso and had the conversation with her. She told her everything that she needed to do. The next step was to meet Samuel. Samuel hasn’t had much interaction with outside people other than Calp and the other people on the island. But once he found out that he had a sibling that he had never met before he was excited and wanted to meet her. They met and everything went well Samuel was brought back to the states and there was a short adjustment period but everything worked out okay and they all lived happily ever after . The end.

I took the branch and shooed the monkeys away, then I hissed at the monkeys that were still there. I tried to stomp my feet to scare them away, eventually the animals retreated slowly. They weren’t scared of me but they were obedient and retreated. I gathered Bobby in my arms and brought him back to Mr. and Mrs. Das, and the other children. As I was carrying him, I wanted to tell him a secret and whisper it in his ear; but I stopped and decided not to. Bobby was clearly stunned, and shivering with fright, his legs were bleeding slightly, where the stick had broken the skin. I brought Bobby back to his parents and Mr. Das brushed some dirt off the boy’s T-shirt and put the visor on him the right way. Mrs. Das, reached into her straw bag to find a bandage which she taped over the cut on his knee. Ronny offered Bobby a fresh piece of gum. Mr. Das said
“ He’s fine. Just a little scared, right Bobby?”
“ God let’s get out of here,” Mrs. Das said.
Mrs. Das folded her arms across the strawberry on her chest.
“This place gives me the creeps.”
Mr. Das insisted on going back to the hotel, and everyone was so concerned for Bobby and his attack. Mrs. Das took the time to fix Bobby’s hair and she reached into her straw bag again. As Mrs. Das was reaching for her hair brush, I saw the slip of paper with my address fly out of the bag. It fluttered away in the wind and I was the only one to notice. I said nothing; I had no reason to say anything. I watched it get carried away in the breeze. I thought to myself that this was the picture I would have of the Das family forever in my mind.

Theme #7: Final Draft, Reflection

Theme #7 – Free Choice
This was not where she wanted to be at all. She had just seen a major thriller with her boyfriend. Kate didn’t like scary movies, even though some events that happened in her life seemed like she was living in one. Kate knew that because she was not by herself at the movies if something happened, she would have someone there to comfort her. Through out the whole movie Kate didn’t say anything, her eyes glued to the movie she wasn’t aware of anything going on except for the movie. She was so scared, it didn’t seem like she was moving. All of a sudden, Kate felt her nose starting to drip. She wasn’t sure what it was but she wiped her nose on her hand hoping it would stop, but it didn’t. She held her cell phone over her hand and the light given off allowed her to see that her nose was bleeding. She got up and ran to the bathroom, Kate’s boyfriend, got up behind her and exited the theater. He wasn’t really sure what was going on, but he was surprised to see Kate get up and move around. Kate stopped the nosebleed and came out the bathroom to meet her boyfriend. Kate concluded that the nosebleed happened because of the scary movie she was watching and she got frightened. To Kate’s boyfriend Mark, it seemed like she was always making excuses for everything but this wasn’t the case, Kate really did think the movie has something to do with this occurance. Mark decided that the night was pretty much over and he would drop Kate off, he didn’t feel like dealing with her and the bad luck that always seemed to follow Kate around. Mark dropped her off and said a short goodbye. He didn’t take much time to make sure that Kate was okay but she was fine.
As she was walking up the steps to her apartment, her foot slipped and she started to trip up the steps, but she caught herself. She threw her bag on the floor and started breathing heavily. After the door had closed, it really hit what had just happened. Kate will never forget this night. It was a rainy night, and Kate was really tired. She went to the bathroom and washed her face, and then she put on some clothes to lounge in and was relaxing upstairs with her cell phone, a book and the TV remote. She was trying to decide what to occupy herself with. Then her cell phone rang. It was a restricted number that was calling her, and Kate never answers restricted numbers. It rang twice and then stopped. Kate’s phone rang again, this time it was a number she recognized but she still was not going to answer her phone. The reason she decided not to answer it was because it was from someone who she vowed never to talk to again. Kate had many self doubts, but no one was ever going to make her feel that she should doubt herself. Kate didn’t like being attacked with words, and she knew that if she decided to pick up the phone, that is exactly what would happen and that would ruin her night…. As if it hadn’t already been ruined by the embarrassment of frustrating Mark once again.
Kate was going through all of her text messages and the last one was from her friend Sarah. She decided to text Sarah to see what she was up to. Fifteen minutes passed by and that is a long time to wait for someone to respond to a text message. Once she got a response she realized that Sarah just got off of work. Kate invited Sarah over and they ate Pizza. Sarah was glad to get a meal even though she just got off from her job at a restaurant. Kate and Sarah had a lot of catching up to do because they hadn’t hung out in a while. They talked about how there life was going and all their problems. They talked about what plans they had for the future. Kate felt glad that she wasn’t in the room with anyone that was criticizing her, or doubting what she had to offer as a person. While they were having their conversation, they both heard the doorbell ring. It was very unusual because it was two o’clock in the morning. They both got freaked out and didn’t want to answer the door because there was no reason to, and they didn’t want to know who was out there. They both thought in there heads what they wanted to do at this point. Kate and Sarah sat on the couch silent, as they waited for maybe somebody to say something. But they heard nothing come from the direction of the door. Sarah being the braver of the two girls walked up to the door but had no intentions of opening it. Clearly whoever was out there heard her footsteps and slid a letter under the door. The person that was outside of apartment complex #666 was just waiting to hear if anybody was home. Sarah picked up the letter, which looked like it had been burned at one edge and handed it to Kate.
Kate was in tears at this point; she didn’t have any idea what was going on and why somebody would be ringing her doorbell at 2 in the morning. She took the envelope in her hands looked at whom it was addressed from and was tearing it into little pieces so that it was impossible to put back together. Kate knew something Sarah didn’t, but she wasn’t about to share. Sarah was trying to comfort Kate, with what ever was going on. They didn’t say much to each other, and in those silent moments Kate knew Sarah could be trusted, someone she could tell her secrets to.
REFLECTION:
There were very minimal changes I felt like I needed to make because I had worked on them in my rough draft. The focus, content, and structure of my story were something that was well thought out in the rough draft. The style came along with that and based on my comments that, was not something that needed to be changed. The conventions were really the only thing that needed to be worked on a little.
In the area of focus there were not many changes that needed to be made, because all of my comments said that it was very focused, and that my story was consistently about the same characters, and what was happening at that time.
The content of my story was pretty in depth, and I had a lot of detail in my story. Any of the sentences that were unnecessary, I deleted. There were some sentences I combined and changed around and that was the main thing I had to do for content.
The structure of my story also stayed mostly the same because in the beginning I organized it so that as different events were happening I separated it into different paragraphs. I also got many comments that my story flowed well and that it wasn’t choppy, so this means that the structure was well thought out.
The style stayed the same because my story was suspenseful from the beginning to the end. In my opinion and the opinion of some of the people that commented, my story was strong from beginning to end, because of the suspense of the story and how detailed it was.
The conventions of the story were the main thing I improved on, because I wanted to make sure everything made sense. I edited the story and revised based off of what sounded correct when I was reading the story aloud, and what is grammatically correct.

How To: Tie Dye a Shirt
Tie Dying a shirt, is definitely something that I enjoy doing and am good at. I have made many tie dye shirts of all different combinations of colors. Each shirt that I make looks different. I make at least one tie dye shirt a year, if I am at a summer camp it is something the children do. It is a lot of fun and something that everyone should know how to do!! Tie Dying shirts or anything is really easy and can be done in a few steps.Step 1: The easiest thing to do would be to buy a tie dying kit, in a kit what would usually be included would be: Dye (normally Red, Blue, Yellow), gloves, applicator bottles, rubber bands, and soda ash. Making a tie dye shirt this way is a little different from they way someone might be used to making it. Instead of dipping sides of your shirt into dyed water, you use the bottles to directly apply the dye. Your shirts will turn out to be a lot more vibrant. So the first thing you want to do is buy the kit.
Step 2: The second step would be to buy the shirts. You have to buy white shirts, and the best shirts to use are natural fiber fabric. These are the best shirts to use because they absorb the dye the best and your shirts will be brighter.
Step 3: After you buy all of your supplies you can get started on making the shirts. The first thing you have to do with the shirts are soak them in warm water, soaking them in warm water stretches out the fibers so again your shirts will turn out the best.
Step 4: Tie your rubber bands around the shirt the way you want, my favorite way is making the spiral so you would put one hand in the center of your shirt and twist the shirt and wrap it tightly until your shirt makes a coil. After you make the spiral then you put rubber bands around it so it stays together.
Step 5: The next step is to soak your shirt in soda ash for a half hour and rinse the shirt out. At this point you can fill up the bottles of die with water
Step 6: The last and final step for the shirt is to apply the dye any way you would like after you put the die on the shirt, you have to rinse the shirt, wash it, dry it and then you can wear it!!
Tie Dying is an activity that can be done almost any time of the year, but it is most fun in warmer weather when you can do it outside. I hope that you enjoy my method to tie dying a shirt, and the steps I have taken, can be used with any garment. Hopefully my "How to" guide will help anyone create a pretty tie dye shirt!!! :)

On Sunday April 19th, 21 polo horses died before the match. The horses on the Venezuelen Polo team were given supplements that caused their death. The were not legally allowed to bring this supplement into the United States so they had a pharmacy mix what they needed. Unfortunately it was mixed wrong and the horses that were treated with this died. 21 horses died before the match. The Florida Pharamacy that mixed the medication, said that "the strength of an ingredient in the medication was incorrect." The only horses that died were horses that were treated with the medication, and they died within three hours. Only five horses survived, and they were not treated with the medication. It is still not clear what exactly caused the death and things are still very confusing for everyone involved. The Pharmacy in Florida, could face criminal charges if they made the supplement that is dangerous and unsafe for animals.
